Ski and snowboard areas usually have most of all of their runs open in December, and start giving ski and snowboard lessons.
The ice skating season is here too, with outdoor rinks open in downtown St. Paul, downtown Minneapolis, and in parks across the Twin Cities.
A romantic idea for the Holiday season. Horse drawn carriage rides depart from the historic Alexander Ramsey House, just outside downtown St. Paul, and are available until December 20.
Minneapolis Parks and Recreation hold several family events in parks across the city.
The annual Holidazzle Parade of lights, costumes, music and Holiday festivities begins on November 28, and runs every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights through December 21.
Christmas is December 25.
The seven days of Kwanzaa begin December 26 through January 1.
