June 2008 Events and Festivals in Minneapolis and St. Paul

June is my favorite month. The sun shines, but it's not too hot, and the bugs aren't out - yet! Summertime in the Twin Cities is always a lot of fun. We've got a year's worth of events to pack into half a year of summer, so there's lot of reasons to go out and enjoy the summer.

Cities and communities in the Twin Cities metro area hold local festivals this month, and big events like Grand Old Day, Juneteeth, the GLBT Pride Celebration and the City of Lakes Tri-Loppet all happen in June.

The City of Minneapolis and the City of St. Paul both put on an summer outdoor concert series. Both begin in June.

Walking tours of Summit Avenue are a popular weekend event in the summer.

June 15 is Father's Day.
