May 27 - June 1 : Flint Hills International Children's Festival Children's performances at the Ordway Center, and free art activities at the World Party outside in Rice Park and Landmark Plaza in St. Paul introduce children to all kinds of performing arts.

June 1: Grand Old Day 2008 The 35th annual Grand Old Day has a parade, sporting events, international music, dancing, children's activities, food, free beauty products and more. On St. Paul's Grand Avenue.

June 1: Minnesota Historical Society Free Day visit any of the Minnesota Historical Societies sites and museums for free this Sunday.

June 1: Rhubarb Festival the stuff summer is made of: esoteric local festivals, and good things to eat. Rhubarb delicacies will be served, there will be rhubarb displays, and rhubarb for sale today at Long Lake Regional Park in New Brighton.

June 1 until mid-September: Minneapolis Outdoor Concert Series over 220 concerts held at four Minneapolis parks. Just about every musical style is represented, many local artists and musicians are taking part, and every concert is free.

June 5 - June 8: 10-Minute Play Festival the Lakeshore Players premier ten comedies and dramas in White Bear Lake.

June 6 and throughout the summer: Patio Nights at the Minnesota Museum of American Arts celebrate art and music every Thursday evening. For all ages.

June 7: Wolf pups at the Wildlife Science Center see wolf pups, lynx, bobcats, porcupines, bears and raptors and other animals native to Minnesota at the WSC, an education and research facility for conservation of native wild animals.

June 7: Minneapolis MOSAIC Festival for the Arts opens today. An evening of free performances kicks of the festival this evening. Festival events continue throughout the summer.

June 7: Minneapolis Sculpture Garden Birthday Bash Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Minneapolis Culture Garden today with free events, performances and children's art activities. The Walker Art Center, across from the Sculpture Garden, has free admission today.

June 7: Northside Arts Collective Spring Art Party in Folwell Park, north Minneapolis, shows of the work of local artists.

June 7 - June 8: Russia's Grizzly Coast The eagerly anticipated exhibit opens at Minnesota Zoo this weekend. Meet the zoo's new grizzly bears, Amur leopards, otters and more.

June 7 - June 8: The national Pro Wakeboard Tour arrives in Shoreview this weekend. Half waterskiing, half snowboarding, and a lot of fun to watch.
