The first week of July is dominated by Independence Day, July 4 celebrations, with parades, music, food, family fun, car shows, and of course, fireworks, in cities across the metro area.
The Aquatennial, the major summer festival in the Twin Cities, begins on July 18, until July 27. Minneapolis hosts water events, parades, fireworks and entertainment in the annual Aquatennial celebration.
The City of Minneapolis and the City of St. Paul both continue their free summer outdoor concert series.
