Minnesota Renaissance Festival
Did summer go as fast for you as it did for me? We've still got another month of warm weather so here's what events and festivals in Minneapolis, St. Paul and the Twin Cities metro area in September are happening to make the most of the last month of summer.

The biggest event of the summer, the Minnesota State Fair, opened on August 21, and runs until September 1.

The Minnesota Renaissance Festival, held annually in Shakopee, is a lot of fun for families with all kinds of live entertainment and colorful characters to watch. The festival is open on seven weekends and Labor Day, until September 28.

Free outdoor concerts are in their last month across Minneapolis, St. Paul and the Metro area.

And the Republicans are coming to town. The Republican National Convention is being held in St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center, September 1-4.

Labor Day is September 1.
