Borders Spooktacular: October 24

Local Borders bookstores hold children's Halloween events on October 24 from 2-4 p.m.

Wildlife Science Center's Howl-O-Ween Party: October 24

How about trick-or-treating with real wolves, bears and owls? Visit the Wildlife Science Center's resident animals and enjoy treats and Halloween activities.

Anoka Halloween Celebrations: October 24-31

Anoka claims to be the Halloween Capital of the world. Pumpkin carving contests, parades, and lots of family-friendly fun in more than a week of festivities in this northeastern suburb.

The Minnesota Zoo - HallZOOween: October 24, 25, 31

Family-friendly Halloween trick-or-treating, music, crafts and activities at the Minnesota Zoo.

Grand Avenue Boo Bash: October 25

St. Paul's Grand Avenue holds a Halloween festival on a weekend just before Halloween. Festivities usually include free fall food samples, wagon rides, and trick-or-treating at participating businesses.

Halloween Spooktacular for Kylie: October 31

Kylie Gibbons is a five-year-old from Falcon Heights who suffers from the rare and debilitating disease tuberous sclerosis complex, which causes potentially life-threatening seizures. Her family are holding a fundraiser to help buy and train a seizure alert dog for Kylie. Kylie's grandmother, Karen, is holding the event at her home at 801 Lakeview Ave in the Como Park area of St. Paul. But this isn't your normal home - Grandma Karen loves Halloween so much that she has her very own haunted house in the back yard. There will also be a pirates, witches, ghosts, games, treats and prizes. The event costs $5 per person, up to $20 maximum per family.

Animal Haunts at the Bell Museum of Natural History: November 1

The Bell Museum of Natural History has a post-Halloween party on November 1. Guests can hear spine-tingling animal tales, take a spooky flashlight tour of the museum, and meet slimey and slithery animals. Pre-registration is required.
