In the pedestrianized Seventh Place Mall, in the shadow of the Landmark Center, is a wonderful brewpub called Great Waters Brewing Company.
It gets very busy on summer evenings, with office workers and residents of downtown St. Paul all hoping for a seat on their outdoor patio, one of only a few places in downtown St. Paul with outdoor seating. It's a very pleasant place to be with a pint of beer. Several brews are on offer, and the selections change frequently. Great Waters concocts special brews for events like St. Paul's Winter Carnival.
The food is excellent too, mostly American with eclectic influences, and the servers are very happy to recommend which beer would go best with your choice.
