Guide Review - Il Vesco Vino Restaurant
Il Vesco Vino -- The Bishop's Wine -- is an Italian restaurant in a converted Victorian mansion in St. Paul's Summit Hill neighborhood.
The wait staff are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the food and the comprehsive but not ostentatious wine list. The food is unfussy, elegant combinations of high quality ingredients, and it is simply delicious.
The dining area has been converted from several rooms of the original house, forming open areas, and some odd nooks and spaces. Most of the customers are groups of friends or couples.
As well as the main dining room, there is also a pretty patio, open in the warmer months, which is a perfect location for dinner on a summer's afternoon. A lounge and bar upstairs is a splendid place to relax with an excellent glass of wine after a hard day's work.
