Guide Review - Trotter's Cafe and Bakery

Every time I visit Trotter's Cafe and Bakery, I wish it was my local cafe. Luckily, I'm a frequent visitor to St. Paul's Merriam Park so I get to go often.

Trotter's specializes in local, natural, foods. The made-from-scratch meals using fresh ingredients are wholesome and tasty.

The interior is a little uninspired, but the staff are as cheery as the rainbows painted on the sidewalk outside.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner, specialty coffees, and beer and wine are served. A "potato mountain" is terrific comfort food for breakfast. For lunch and dinner, the daily soups and stews are usually excellent. Pizza, burgers and sandwiches are on offer, and plenty of vegetarian options are available.

The portions are not huge, rather the perfect size to finish all your meal and have room for a cookie. If you usually eat like you have hollow legs, you'll be a little disapointed, but for everyone else it's perfect, and saves all those non-biodegradable takeout boxes too.
