Lake Harriet is surrounded by parkland and gardens. 2.99 miles of cycle and skater trail circle the lake, and a 2.75 mile trail for walkers and runners.
The cycle trail runs around the lake in a clockwise direction. Begin the tour at the Lake Harriet Bandshell on the north shore of the lake, where East Lake Harriet Parkway and West Lake Harriet Parkway meet. There is a parking lot here, and on-street parking nearby, and all around the lake.
